    In 1999, Lee Dong Wook made his first TV appearance through a single-episode drama of MBC wherein he was scouted to be a part of the teenage drama 'School 2' and later on gained attention to viewers and directors in the drama 'School 3.'  

    Breakthrough in the Entertainment Industry: My Girl (2015)

    Through the romantic comedy-drama My Girl in 2015, where he first had his leading role, Lee Dong Wook had his road to stardom garnering praises for his acting across Asia giving him more opportunities in the entertainment industry. Right after this drama, he earned numerous roles in dramas having different genres such as romantic comedy, thriller, melodrama and lot more.

    Lee Dong Wook in Reality Shows

    Showing a different side as a reality show host, Lee Dong Wook partake as a talk show host of Strong Heart together with a comedian Shin Dong Yup. He's been a part of the show from April 2012 to January 2013 before he appeared in various variety shows as a guest like the famous Running Man.

    Joining a new family, Lee Dong Wook became a member of the reality show Roommate where he lived with various artists and idols. He's been a part of both two seasons and has exhibited most of his charms with the other members. One of his notable act in this show is when he conducted the Lee Dong Wook late night show where they ambush interview the other house members and ask random questions on them. Lee also joined the reality show The two seasons of Roommate aired on 2014-2015.

    He is currently one of the hosts of the survival program Produce X101. This is the fourth season of the show and it is his first time to be a part of the show.

    In 2016, his career leveled up after he starred in one of the highest rating drama Goblin: The Lonely and the Great God 쓸쓸하고 찬란하신 – 도깨비 which aired from 2016-2017. His role as the serious yet funny Grim Reaper partnering with Yoon In Na has been loved by the audience around the world which gave him more opportunities to star in dramas.

    Lee Dong Wook made a change in his character thereafter. He starred in the medical drama Life 라이프. In 2019, he's back with her love team Yoon In Na for the comedy-drama Touch Your Heart as a prestigious lawyer. He's confirmed to be starring in a new drama Strangers from Hell. 

    Ambassadorship

    For the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Lee Dong Wook was appointed as one of the honorary ambassadors for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and at the same time, the tourism ambassador of the Gangwon Province.

    Aside from acting, he's been active in commercials, magazine photoshoot and various event engagements in South Korea and abroad. Currently, he is an ambassador for Chanel alongside with other South Korean brand and the Hong Kong brand Everytime Plus .
